On my main desktop (a computer with just one nic), I tried utilising ICS as work-around, and that worked for about 10 to 20 minutes, at which point, I loose all connectivity, and the only way to get it back is to forcefully power off the machine ! I canĭisable ICS but that doesn't bring connectivity back, I cannot remove the internal hyper-v adapter, even when all vm's are powered off, as it just sits at applying settings for 10 minutes, at which time I simply killed the machine. Of course the minute I disconnect the ethernet nic, I get connection problems on the host os. Now I was able to reliably get this to work on my laptop using the ethernet nic as "host nic" and the wireless nic as Hyper-V external nic. To add to this, setting a nic to external, and allowing the host to share that adapter has worked perfectly fine on both server 2008 and server 2008R2, not sure if this problem also occurs on Server 8, I certainly hope
